Cap comes off end, questionable quality

Got it installed at a Trek store and it broke after one day. The cap came off the end of a grip which apparently holds it together, so the grip started coming apart. Had to bring my bike back in to get the grip fixed. I previously bought the other grip with the clear top and the cap also came off that end which is why I tried these instead.

No matter how tightly you adjust the set screw, the end caps do not stay in these grips

My hands are the same size. These grips are not. Maybe they are intended for someone with a limb in a cast.
