If you could snap your fingers and the lightest, most packable two-door tent of your dreams would appear before you, this would be it. Designed with the lightest-weight materials available; Easton carbon pole set and Dyneema Composite Fabrics - an extremely strong and dynamic fiber that is both highly tear resistant as well as fully waterproof. This tent is any ultralight-weight traveler's dream. These products are intended for only the most advanced user. Although extremely strong for their weight, these tents are not indestructible and require careful use to decrease the possibility of damage. Special care during setup and extended trips is important as rough handling, long-term abrasion, exposure to sharp objects or rocky campsite selection may result in fabric punctures and tears. We highly recommend using tent footprints with these tents to improve durability. Self-adhesive repair patches are included in the event that repairs must be made on the trail.

Not humid friendly
Love the convenience of a free standing, crazy light tent. However, with humid conditions and lack of ventilation, condensation accumulates on the inside of the fly. If it's raining, the additional moisture on the outside creates significant sagging of the fly to the extent that the fly will touch the inner tent mesh allowing for moisture to transfer inside the tent. Then the sleeping bag or anything else that touches those areas will get wet. I also have to mention that when it's raining, getting into the tent without rain landing inside is difficult/impossible considering the angles of the doors and the footprint. Just be aware that this tent is not good at handling wet conditions. It is simply put, the best design to create the lowest possible net tent weight.

This Tent is Light but Handle with Care
Very light semi freestanding tent. My issue is only with how transparent the tent is but all other factors make it worth the weight savings. We have a Triplex and a Copper Spur but want something that was best of both those worlds.

Light for long distance
Brought to the Winds for a week and the tent performed well. Light, easy set up. The double zippered door is a bit difficult to unzip. The zippers do not have a smooth ride. They have a bit of friction and so when pulling, the tent tends to bow with the pull making the process difficult. Overall, the tent is a great success in my opinion. I used to have the UL version of the Tiger wall and loved it so I continued on with the Platinum and have been very happy. I've continued to use the tent on many outings since and it's doing well.

Phenomenal Tent
This is arguably one of the best two person tents for a thru hiking couple. You can split the body, fly, poles and stakes between 2 hikes, giving it a lighter trail weight than any 2 person DCF single wall. We used this tent on the PCT and AT. It handles condensation, rain and snow way better than a single wall. The perfect pitch takes practice with any UL tent, but it can be set up in the rain at night in under 2 minutes once you do it enough. Site selection is everything (see Andrew Skurka's 5 stark campsite video from 2017). I recommend sliding barrel knots in place of plastic tensioners. I ditched the stuff sack and pack it loose at the top of my pack. The poles, I keep in plastic packaging that it ships in that are meant to be thrown away rather than the actual bag thats supposed to be used. I opted for MSR groundhog minis and titanium shepherd hook stakes to save a little weight. It is a bit snug for two people, but can absolutely be done comfortably. We both used Neo air xlight pads and kept our packs under the vestibules. I'm 5'10" and she is 5'4". I am a weight obsessed, gear nerd who has spent too much time on trail and I really think this one of the best tent options for minimalist ultralight backpacking couples. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

AT Rainfly Failure
Purchased Tiger Wall 3 Platinum November 15, 2023. T&E the tent over the New Year's @ Padre Island National Seashore, not a significant length of time. My wife & I (2-people) began the Appalachian Trial April 15, with the tent in tow. One flap of the tent fly failed (both zipper sliders came off completely in the middle of the night) over the Memorial Day weekend. The next day I managed to get just one slider on to close, from the elements, the fly zipper; yet, requiring Gorilla Tape on both ends to keep it from splitting and the zipper wouldn't reopen for infill/exfill. On Memorial Day I submitted an electronic case # with the hopes for a positive solution for the remaining 1,500 + miles remaining on the AT. I called a day after to explain my predicament with it ending with a "We'll get back to you as soon as we can". Then I received the following email on May 30, reader's own discretion: Thank you for reaching out, and I am sorry about the delay here. Unfortunately it looks like we do not have any used or new parts available for your Tiger Wall 3 Platinum available, but please see a couple of options below: 1. We have a Tiger Wall 3 Carbon, which we can break into parts to sell you the rainfly as a replacement. Please note that the Tiger Wall Carbon is a more expensive tent, and payment would be required for this replacement rainfly. 2. If you are near a town, you may be able to find a local seamstress who can help get that zipper slider replaced and get the zipper working again. 3. If you cannot find a seamstress, there is a company called FixNZip, which offers a temporary fix (screw-on zipper sliders) which will get your rainfly working again. Once you are finished with your thru-hike, reach back out and we can get your tent into our warehouse to be professionally repaired. Good bye Big Agnes, hello Zpacks! Never again…

great lightweight tent for backpacking!
Used this while backpacking 600 miles through Switzerland and Italy as well as the O trek Patagonia. The only complaint is that if it's pretty windy it'll get compressed

I would buy this tent again.
Our goal in buying this tent was to reduce weight. We have a 10 year old Copper Spur UL3 that we love but it was over 5 lbs - this one is just over 2. And you can feel the difference! We used it recently and it rained overnight providing a good test. Pros: - Light - Beautifully made. - Sufficient room inside for 2 with room in the vestibules for 2 packs Cons: - Not totally free standing. Needs stakes at the foot to pull out the corners. - Requires careful staking of the rainfly to get it rainproof. - The zippers jam if you are not careful. But this goes for any ultra light tent it seems.

Wind Worthy
Thought about it and it deserves 5 stars not 4

Wind Worthy
This tent withstood constant 20 mph winds at 10,000 feet elevation with gusts over 50 mph for a full week. I was originally skeptical of the tents durability due to the light weight material and design, but It held its ground and sprung back to form in the relentless wind. Amazing shelter for the weight!

So glad I bit the bullet on this.
I love the space this gives me, and for six ounces less than my last tent.
