The Berkley 50-pound Digital Fish Scale with attachable tape measure and no-tear fish clip allows anglers to quickly measure the weight and length of their catch.
My son bought this device and we have never been able to get it to work. We turn it on and nothing happens. A piece of junk as far as I'm concerned. Have tryed to contact Berkley . Impossible. I hope this will generate some contact from Berkley.

I have owned the scale for less than 6 months and really needed it last night for a monster bass I caught. Unit wouldn't power on, replaced batteries and still nothing. I tried another set of batteries this morning and it shuts off after 20 seconds of installing NEW batteries. So now I have a picture and a fish story that I can't back up with a real weight. EXTREMELY disappointed

Even with brand new batteries (voltage tested), this still says "Lo." Used it maybe once or twice.

Recently purchased this scale. Only weighed a handful of fish before the bead chain broke. I did however manage to read the weight of the fish before it broke. 1 pound 10 ounces! Why would you make a scale that goes up to 50 pounds and put a chain so weak that a 2 pound fish can break it?! DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE

Bought a couple years ago due to compact size for bank trekking. Clamp broke after 1 season. Was able to Micky Mouse it up with duct tape and popsicle sticks, but that's failing now. Also, to get a reading, have to kind of bounce
fish on it, but im not 100% sure of accuracy. Usually get 2-3 readings.Tape is handy though

I purchased the unit new, used it to weight one fish . Put it in a compartment in the boat and got it back out a few months later for use on the 1st spring fishing trip. It never powered up, replaced batteries, still no power . Looks like new but operating like a dead one , nothing at all .

Used one trip, then a couple months later, it wouldn't turn on. Replaced the batterie. Turned on, said "Lo", and wouldn't come back on. Checked the batteries with my meter, and they're good. How is this piece of junk still on the market?
